Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accept this Privacy Policy and its terms.   • To better serve Site visitors, Blue Paro may collect two basic types of information: (1) Personally Identifiable Information, and (2) Non-Personally Identifiable Information.

  • You do not have to provide Blue Paro with personally identifying information (e.g., name, telephone number, email address, city and/or state of residence) as a condition of using the Blue Paro Site. You are under no obligation to provide us with personally identifiable information of any kind. We will only collect personally identifiable information if you provide it to us, and it will be used by us to fulfill requests for information. We may use the information you provide to identify you as either a current or former client of ours, or if representation or counsel may conflict with our services on a prior or ongoing matter.

    Blue Paro may use your non-personally identifiable information for general business purposes including without limitation, the following: (a) to better understand who is using the Site and how they are using it; (b) to uncover and diagnose problems with our Site and servers and to increase the efficiency and operation of the Site; (c) for day-to-day system administration needs; (d) to compile anonymous statistical data and analysis for use internally or with third parties; and (e) to monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the Site.scription

  • In the event, Blue Paro, or substantially all of its assets were acquired or undergo a merger, or in the unlikely event that Blue Paro goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, website user information, including personally identifiable information, would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that any acquirer of Blue Paro or any of its assets may continue to use your personally identifiable information as set forth in this Privacy Policy or the transferee may decline to honor commitments we made in this Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the actions of third parties with whom you share personal or sensitive data, and we have no authority to manage or control third-party solicitations. If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails, or other communications from third parties, you are responsible for contacting the third party directly.

    Blue Paro has the right to disclose any information about you or your use of our Site without your prior permission if Blue Paro has a good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) by law; (b) protect rights if we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others; (c) protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of Blue Paro or its partners, employees, affiliates, other users of the Site, or the public; (d) enforce the Terms of Use for the Site; or (e) respond to claims that any content violates the rights of third parties or is otherwise unlawful. Blue Paro may also disclose information as we deem necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request. Blue Paro may share any information you submit to us when we have your consent to do so, or when we need to share it in order to provide the information or service you requested.

  • Communications with your consent, or with an opportunity for you to withdraw consent: We may share your information with third parties for marketing purposes, as permitted by law

  • We may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit the Site. These companies may use information about your visit to the Site and other websites that are contained in web cookies to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.

  • We may share your information with our affiliates, in which cases we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy.

  • We may share your information with advertisers and investors for the purpose of conducting general business analysis. We may also share your information with such third parties for marketing purposes, as permitted by law.

  • Blue Paro maintains reasonable security procedures and practices to protect against the unauthorized access, use, modification, destruction or disclosure of your personally identifying information. Please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other types of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information. Due to the nature of the Internet and related technology, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information and Blue Paro expressly disclaims any such obligation.

  • We may use third-party software to serve ads on the Site, implement email marketing campaigns, and manage other interactive marketing initiatives. This third-party software may use cookies or similar tracking technology to help manage and optimize your online experience with us.   • We may partner with selected third-party vendors, such as Google Analytics, to allow tracking technologies and remarketing services on the Site through the use of first-party cookies and third-party cookies, to, among other things, analyze and track users’ use of the Site and determine the popularity of certain content and better understand online activity. By accessing the Site, you consent to the collection and use of your information by these third-party vendors. You are encouraged to review their privacy policy and contact them directly for responses to your questions. We do not transfer personal information to these third-party vendors.   • The Blue Paro Privacy Policy was posted on the date set forth above. Blue Paro reserves the right to change, alter or modify this policy for any reason at any time without notice to you. When we do so, changes in our Privacy Policy will be posted on our Site and will be effective immediately and you waive the right to receive specific notice of each such change or modification. You are encouraged to periodically check this Privacy Policy on a regular basis. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Site after the fate such revised Privacy Policy is posted.

  • The Site is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. Users under the age of 18 should get the permission of a parent or guardian to use the Blue Paro Site. Blue Paro does not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from children under the age of 18 at our Site, except for the limited circumstances described below. In the event a child under the age of 18 submits a question to us at our Site and identifies his or her age, we may use the child’s email address for the sole purpose of responding to the child’s question on a one-time-only basis. However, we will not use the child’s email address for further contact, and we will remove the address from our records after we have initially responded. If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under the age of 18, please contact us using the contact information provided below.

  • The Blue Paro Site may include links to other websites whose privacy policies we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any information collected by other websites. Any information you provide to these third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy, and we cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of your information. Before visiting and providing any information to any third-party websites, you should inform yourself of the privacy policies and practices (if any) of the third party responsible for that website, and should take those steps necessary to, in your discretion, protect the privacy of your information. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other sites, services, or applications that may be linked to or from the Site.

If you request the deletion or modification of your personal information maintained by us, such information may be retained for a period of time in our backup systems as a precaution against system failures. Some information may be retained for longer periods as required by law, contract or auditing requirements.

  • In addition to the rights set forth above in this Privacy Statement, if you are an individual who is also a California resident, you are afforded rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), which allows you to make certain requests about your personal information in our possession. Specifically, the CCPA allows you to request us to:

    (A) Inform you about the categories of personal information we collect or disclose about you; the categories of sources of such information; the business or commercial purpose for collecting your personal information; and the categories of third parties with whom we share/disclose your personal information.

    (B) Provide access to and/or a copy of certain personal information we hold about you.

    (C) Delete certain personal information we have about you.

    (D) Provide you with information about the financial incentives that we offer to you, if any.

    The CCPA further provides you with the right to not be discriminated against (as provided for in applicable law) for exercising your rights.

    Please note that certain information may be exempt from such requests under California law. For example, the CCPA provides that we are not required to comply with a request to delete personal information if the information is necessary for our Firm to:

    (A) Comply with a legal obligation.

    (B) Complete the transaction for which the information was collected, provide a good or service you requested, perform a contract with you, to fulfill the terms of a written warranty or product recall conducted in accordance with federal law, or take actions reasonably anticipated in the context of our ongoing business relationship with you.

    (C) Detect security incidents, protect against deceptive, malicious, fraudulent or illegal activity, or to prosecute those responsible for that activity.

    (D) Debug products, services or applications to identify and repair errors that impair existing functionality.

    (E) Exercise free speech, to ensure the rights of others to exercise their free speech rights, or to exercise another right provided by law.

    (F) Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act (Cal. Penal Code §1546 et. seq.).

    (G) Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with consumer expectations based upon your relationship with our Firm.

    (H) Make other internal and lawful uses of the information that are compatible with the context in which you provided the information.

    Furthermore, we are not obligated under the CCPA to respond to any request where compliance or disclosure would violate an evidentiary privilege under California law, or conflict with federal or state law.

    The CCPA, does not require that we provide personal information to a consumer more than twice in a twelve-month period. Any disclosures we make will only cover the twelve (12) month period preceding the request.

    Regulations proposed by the California Attorney General prohibit us from disclosing specific pieces of personal information if the disclosure creates a substantial, articulable and unreasonable risk to the security of that information or the security of our systems or networks. These proposed regulations further prohibit us from disclosing in response to a consumer’s request a Social Security number, driver’s license number, other government issued identification number, financial account number, any health insurance or medical identification number, an account password or security questions and answers.

    Before we respond to any request involving personal information, the CCPA requires that we confirm the identity of the person making the request, and if the request is made on behalf of another person, his or her authority to make the request on the other person’s behalf. We are not obligated to provide or to delete any information pursuant to your request if we are unable to adequately verify your identity or the identity of the person making the request on your behalf. Accordingly, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to a request, which may include, at a minimum, depending on the sensitivity of the information you are requesting and the type of request you are making, verifying your name, email address, and other account information. If we cannot verify your identity, we will not be able to respond to or take action upon such request.

    You are also permitted to designate an authorized agent to submit certain requests on your behalf. In order for an authorized agent to be verified, you must provide the authorized agent with signed, written permission to make such requests or a power of attorney. We may also follow up with you to verify your identity before processing the authorized agent’s request.

    If there is a discrepancy between any of the other provisions of this Privacy Statement and the requirements of the CCPA involving an individual who is a California resident, the CCPA shall govern our obligations and responses.

    In addition, the California Civil Code permits California residents with whom we have an established business relationship to request that we provide you with a list of certain categories of personal information that we have disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year. To make such a request, please contact our Privacy Officer as explained at the end of this Privacy Statement and mention that you are making a “California Shine the Light” inquiry.

  • If you are visiting our website from outside the United States ("U.S."), any information you voluntarily provide via our website and any technical information from the browser of your computer, tablet or mobile device will be transferred out of your country and into the U.S., where our law firm is located. The laws and protections available to the privacy of your personal information in the U.S. may significantly differ from the protections available in your country. Personal data transferred to the U.S. may be subject to lawful access requests by state and federal authorities in the U.S. If you do not want any personal information to be transferred to the U.S., please do not provide that information to our firm via our Site.

  • The General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), in effect in the European Union ("EU"), extends to natural persons certain rights involving the privacy of their personal information.

    Blue Paro is the data controller for any personal information provided via our Site. We do not have a data protection officer in the EU. Any information that you provide us will be stored in the United States. We do not intend to transfer your personal data to another country or international organization.

    We will retain any personal information that you provide via our website for seven (7) years from the date you provided or last updated that information, unless you request that information be deleted at an earlier date. If that information is subject to a litigation hold, or is required to assert or defend a legal claim, we will hold that information until the claim or action is finally resolved.

    Under the GDPR, individuals are granted the following rights:

    (A) Right of Access. You have the right to ask what personal information we have about you in our possession. You have the right to obtain a copy of your personal data free of charge so long as it does not adversely affect the rights of others. We may charge a reasonable fee based on administrative costs for additional copies. The right of access includes the right to request that we update, correct or complete your personal information in our possession.

    (B) Right of Erasure. You have a right to request that data be deleted or erased when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected or processed, when you withdraw your consent, when data is unlawfully processed, to comply with a legal obligation of the EU or a Member State, or when you object to the processing and we are unable to demonstrate compelling, legitimate grounds for the processing that overrides your rights, freedoms or interests. Personal data does not have to be erased when and to the extent it is necessary “for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.”

    (C) Right to Restrict Processing. You have a right to restrict the processing of your personal data when you contest the accuracy of the personal data in our possession, until we are able to verify its accuracy, if the processing is unlawful and you oppose its erasure and request restriction instead.

    (D) Right to Data Portability. The right to data portability is triggered when processing activity was based on your consent or was necessary for the performance of a contract, and the processing was carried out by automated means. This right, however, shall not adversely affect the rights of others.

    (E) Automated Decision-Making. You have the right to not be subjected to decision-making based solely on automated processing or profiling that either significantly affects you or results in some sort of legal effect. This right does not apply to decisions that are necessary for entering into or performing a contract with you or are based on your explicit consent.

    (F) Right to Object to Processing. You have the right to object to processing when it is based on a “legitimate interest” of the controller or a third party, or to processing that occurs for direct marketing purposes.

    (G) Withdrawing Your Consent. You can adjust your cookie settings at any time from our cookie consent manager or by contacting our firm’s Privacy Officer as explained at the end of this Privacy Statement.

    (H) Right to Complain. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority about our data privacy practices where you reside.
